Free Friday: Avoiding vs. Investing
Update: Ear Infections, thats what I'm dealing with. Thank you Shannon for taking care of me. I am going to repost an old blog of mine, since my other one is shutting down in a couple of days, I managed to save some of my posts from it and I'll repost them while I am on the mend. Enjoy them and thank you for following my work. Posted byBy Sketch March 25, 2024 I normally try to keep these articles light-hearted. This one, not so much, but hang with me until the end. When I w

Free Friday: Consistency.
Holy flowers Batman! I love doing work like this; it is constructive, relaxing, helps me focus and, in return, I feel better about myself. If I remember correctly, I was at work when I did this (I actually did this one almost 3 months ago!). For some, doing a repetitive subject like this is pretty tiring, it would wear them out. For me though, it is something similar to taking a knife to a strop. My thoughts become almost "sharper," my mind wanders into different areas, prett

Free Friday: What? It's just a little fire?!
When I was a kid, I was a "fire bug." I loved matches, especially the wooden ones. We had boxes of them EVERYWHERE. I don't really know why they intrigued me, maybe it was the look and feel? Maybe it was the smell after you struck the match, or even farther down the Freudian Path, it was the transformation of the match and anything it touched? I hear people say that rebels make the best cops and kids who play with matches make the best firefighters. Again, I don't know, those

Free Friday: Keep Going!!
I have done this more times than I care to admit, walked into something and I am not aware of my surroundings; happens a lot more than I care to admit. Iggy here is not the only one guilty of this. You know when I notice that I have gone too far? Juuust right after that LAST step. Mind your footing kids! Have a great day! Free Friday: Compassion
Iggy is off building his sand castles again! This time he's got an audience. Those are the best kind! I loved making those things as a kid and then, whatever you found on the beach was fair game to use as decoration. All those poor snails, crawfish and bugs, they NEVER held their assigned posts especially after baking in the sun after three hours! Tell me about a sandcastle you built. Moats, drawbridges, etc.; the more detail, the better! Let your sandcastles reach the heaven

Free Friday: Courage
Somedays it feels like this. My friend Hydro here, even at The Beach, Hydro doesn't get any respect and it can feel like that a lot. I just know that when things like this happen to me, I like to find a nice quiet place to recoup, readjust and then, get back at it again. There are MANY MORE beachballs out there ...go find them! May YOU have a better day! Have a great day! To learn more about Hydro click here, to see more work with Hydro in it click here.

Free Friday: ...and in comes the waves!
Today, the Elemental Brother we are focusing on is named, "Iggy," the earth elemental. I have learned this TOO MANY times, when the tide comes into your castle today, may it stand against the waves. Free Friday: I see your true colors shining through
Not every day is going to be great, but if you can make it through to the end, there’s hope for tomorrow. This little guy‘s name is, “Quiznitch“ and he comes from Sir Raymond‘s hometown, Heritage Hills Village. I’ll have more on him later when the website is up and finished and you can learn about his backstory there. For now, just know that he really doesn’t like, sir Raymond for some reason. Have a great day! To learn more about Sir Raymond of Dale, click here. To see more

Free Friday: Come On, Come On!
Many years ago I had a mentor that at the time we were play argue with each other, and he said: "Sketch?" to which I responded, "I know that guy, he's kind of a loser!" To which he responded, "Hey! You better say nice things about him, he's a friend of mine." We both laughed but, years later his kind words in jest still stick with me. Funny eh? Have a great day.

Happy Flag Day!
I have said this time and time again, and I will continue to say it until I can’t say it anymore: I don’t care who is in charge of the White House, I don’t care who the mayor of our town is, I don’t care who our leaders are in government, we live in one of the greatest countries this planet has ever seen and a lot of good men and women have either put their life on hold or paid with their life so that our flag could wave over our land. I know there are a lot of problems. I kn

Free Friday: Peddle, Peddle, Breathe, Breathe!
I learned a long time ago, you either learn to watch out for the traffic or you get run over by it… And if you think that you’re safe on the sidewalk… Guess again! Have a great day everyone!
