When I was a kid, I was a "fire bug." I loved matches, especially the wooden ones. We had boxes of them EVERYWHERE. I don't really know why they intrigued me, maybe it was the look and feel? Maybe it was the smell after you struck the match, or even farther down the Freudian Path, it was the transformation of the match and anything it touched? I hear people say that rebels make the best cops and kids who play with matches make the best firefighters. Again, I don't know, those

Some times you just gotta...

This one was born over a dinner I had with my friend, Nate. He was trying to ask me if the shadows of the characters, or outlines of them, would hold up enough for anyone to recognize them. I did some research on the idea and found out that it was actually a thing. Anyway, after hearing Nate bring it up this was the first thing that came to mind, the four Brothers sitting on a dune discussing food. Well, to be very honest, the first idea was that one of them farted. I think t

Here is Hydro, feeling sorry for something stuck in a container when it looks like he is stuck in his own? See the irony here? Nuff said! Have a great day! To learn more about Hydro click here, to see more work with Hydro in it click here.

The boys are back to playing frisbee again. I used to love this activity as a kid. In fact, this red one is just like the one I had up at the cabin as a kid. Unfortunately, it spent more time on the ground than it did in the air. Do you realize how fast a kid has to run to play catch with themselves?!? Sadly, I do. I never did catch it. Tell me about the greatest game of catch you played. Was it with someone special? In a special place? How about WHAT you played catch with? L

The Elemental Brothers are still at it. You ever have somebody walk right through you because they saw you but it never even registered to them? How do you deal with it? Let it go? Bring it to their attention? Aggressively? Let me know in the comments below. Today I hope you see people. Not just for the physical space they hold but for who they REALLY are. Their experiences, their strengths, etc. They deserve that, just like you do. Have a great day! To learn more about Cynde

Somedays it feels like this. My friend Hydro here, even at The Beach, Hydro doesn't get any respect and it can feel like that a lot. I just know that when things like this happen to me, I like to find a nice quiet place to recoup, readjust and then, get back at it again. There are MANY MORE beachballs out there ...go find them! This is a special cartoon. Not only does it introduce the last of the four Elemental Brothers, "Iggy," this is the first time that I have shown one of the Elemental Brothers NOT in their human form and it took me a while to answer some questions on what and how it looks. As far as "flying" goes, I prefer to run my life like that of Pete Mitchell, or "Maverick," in the Top Gun movies. Sometimes you just gotta buzz the tower! Have a great day! Happy July! I have some new characters on deck for this month, namely the ones that I call, "The Elemental Brothers." There are four of them to start: earth, wind, fire and water. Today we start with the fire elemental, "Cynder." I hope you guys are enjoying the fact that the coloring is changing, the new app that I am using allows me to do some pretty fun stuff with shades and samples. Over the next few days you will notice more as I am "poking around" to learn more tricks.
